Merch Aid is a nonprofit project that was created in 2020 to support small businesses struggling during the pandemic. R/GA partnered with designers, illustrators, and photographers to create limited-edition merch sold on our site, with all profits going back to the businesses. In June 2020 we then launched a collection featuring leading Black designers who created merch that benefited nonprofit organizations fighting systemic inequality and racial injustice, followed by a similar collection that supported Black-owned businesses in New York City.
Over the course of 2020, Merch Aid raised over $230k in net sales and donated over $100,000.
For the latest release we launched a collection to stand in solidarity with the AAPI community. We partnered with 8 new artists including Steffi Lynn, Jing Wei, and Zipeng Zhu, with proceeds benefiting AAPI Women Lead.
Merch Aid was started by a group of employees at R/GA. Please visit www.getmerchaid.com and @merchaid to see the collaborations we’ve launched so far, and learn more about the designers, businesses, and organizations that have participated.
