Leading up to the Serial Podcast finale, I came up with the idea to create a remix using the Serial theme song. In collaboration with super producer Fafu, we developed the instrumental, inserted key sound bytes from the show and topped it off with a few bars from the greatest rapper of all time, The Notorious B.I.G. As they say in advertising, "it went viral."
The track received over 100K streams in under 48 hours of launching and currently has over 1,000,000 streams to date. It was picked up by countless media outlets including Time, Complex, Billboard, WSJ and many more (see below). It has been blessed by Nick Thornburn, who composed the original score.
We also encouraged people who enjoyed our track to make a donation to the Woodlawn High School Scholarship Fund in honor of Hae Min Lee.
