Chalamet visits a neighborhood produce shop that sells rare vegetables but only accepts antiquated forms of payment—iron ingots, salt, and cowrie shells. While the shop’s owner clings to tradition, his teenage son (played by Izaac Wang, Dìdi) challenges the status quo, suggesting Cash App as a modern banking solution that better serves their future. As Chalamet observes—mangelwurzel in hand—the shopkeeper realizes that adopting easier financial tools doesn’t mean abandoning his values, but rather empowering them. The full two-minute film premiered as a surprise “secret drop” in front of Superman on opening night, July 11, 2025. The launch spanned more than 3,000 theaters nationwide, securing platinum placement with exclusive post-trailer positioning directly before the opening credits. To celebrate the power of community among Mexican-American audiences, Cash App brought together Latin Grammy-winner artist Carin León, Grammy-winner producer Borderkid, and F1 driver Checo Pérez in a contemporary corrido. The music video, directed by Stillz, paints a surreal road trip where Carin is whisked away by his taxi driver, Checo, as they travel through a whimsical landscape filled with artful cues from Mexican culture and the driver's own life. The song was created to honor the life of Checo Pérez, touching on universal themes of persistence and overcoming life challenges. During the 2017–2018 NBA season, the average basketball fan watched only seven games. Our challenge was to buck this trend and boost tune-in for the 2018 NBA playoffs and finals, especially among younger fans. To do this, we launched a FOMO-inducing real-time campaign: “You Seeing This?” caught young fans when their attention was elsewhere and lured them to live games with tantalizing real-time action.
